Meeting the EU’s net-zero targets requires a drastic increase in offshore wind deployment, much of it in deep waters where floating platforms are the only viable option. TAILWIND is developing new station-keeping technologies that hold floating turbines in place designed to use less material, cost less to install, and reduce the impact on the seabed and marine life.

This is what we will be mostly discussing at NetZero Milan 2026, starting with showcasing our recently published factsheet, Keeping floating wind at the forefront which looks at sustainable anchor concepts and fibre rope recyclability for floating wind.

TAILWIND will be one of several Horizon Europe projects represented at the ICONS stand, in the Solutions Hub area of the exhibition, as part of a joint dissemination effort by Fondazione ICONS across its EU-funded project portfolio. Where else could we better promote the upcoming podcast series we are producing together with fellow Horizon Europe wind energy projects DTWO and SUDOCO, which will be with us at the stand?

The initiative gives TAILWIND’s research a shared, more visible presence among the industry leaders, researchers, public authorities and investors gathering in Milan to discuss Europe’s transition to climate neutrality. Visitors interested in floating wind and other welcome to stop by or get in touch with our project communication manager Federico La Torre to arrange a meeting.

See you in Milano!
