Innovation, sustainability and societal impacts in floating offshore wind will shape the conversation at “Designing the Future of Floating Offshore Wind”, a session co-organised by TAILWIND with sister projects FLOATFARM, INF4INiTY and MADE4WIND, aiming to bring together research and industry voices.
Representing TAILWIND will be Aligi Foglia, lead geotechnical engineer at NGI and co-lead of the TAILWIND research project, and German Perez Moran, head of the Offshore Renewables, Climate and Urban Transition unit at TECNALIA.
The event will kick off with a speaker session moderated by Alessandro Bianchini, Associate Professor at the University of Florence, and Markel Penalba, head of Offshore Technologies and the Aerodynamics and Green Hydrogen Technologies laboratories at Mondragon University. Alongside Aligi Foglia, the speaker line-up includes Robert Behrens de Luna researcher at TU Berlin, representing the FLOATFARM consortium, Gael Verao from TU Braunschweig, PHD and coordinator of the INF4INiTY project, and Balram Panjwani, senior research scientist at SINTEF and coordinator of MADE4WIND.
Four panelists will also fuel the discussion with the speakers and the attendees: German Perez Moran will join innovation project manager at ACCIONA, Rafael Ruiz Maestre (MADE4WIND) and leader of Sustainable Ocean Engineering research group at TU Braunschweig, Christian Windt (INF4INiTY), and assistant professor at University of Florence, Francesco Papi (FLOATFARM).
For more information, explore the speakers’ overview on FLOATFARM website and go to the official WindEurope event page for location and registration details: seats are limited but the event is open to all the participants with an exhibition pass.
