TUDelft is a leading academic institution with extensive expertise in geotechnical engineering and advanced centrifuge modelling. As a key partner in the TAILWIND project, TUDelft plays a pivotal role in advancing anchor innovations for Floating Offshore Wind (FOW) systems. Leading Task 3.2, TUDelft focuses on centrifuge modelling to provide critical experimental insights into novel anchor designs identified in Task 3.1. The research emphasizes capturing the complete life-cycle behavior of anchors, from installation and in-service performance to decommissioning. This work is instrumental in assessing anchor performance under multidirectional and two-way loading conditions—challenges unique to shared anchors in FOW applications. By investigating through-life loading effects and cyclic soil behavior, TUDelft contributes significantly to developing a pioneering strength framework (SO1.3) that ensures accurate and reliable anchor designs, supporting the project’s long-term success.
