On 5 March, TAILWIND will be contributing to the dialogue on anchoring solutions for floating energy systems at Ocean Renewables and Anchors for Floating Structures, the first offshore seminar organized by Norsk Geoteknisk Forening in Stavanger.
PhD candidate Elham Hosseinzadeh from TAILWIND’s Dutch partner TU Delft will present the project at the upcoming event organised by Norsk Geoteknisk Forening (NGF). The seminar is hosted at Subsea7’s headquarters in Stavanger, another member of the TAILWIND consortium, and brings together leading voices from industry and research, including DNV, Equinor and our project coordinator NGI.
The event offers a chance to meet the offshore geotechnical community in Norway’s energy capital and hear insights from experts working at the forefront of ocean renewables. Through technical presentations and discussion, participants will explore advances in anchors and offshore geotechnics supporting floating structures.
Norsk Geoteknisk Forening works to strengthen collaboration across the Norwegian geotechnical community by organising meetings, courses and seminars, preparing national guidelines, and maintaining international contact. The association is affiliated with the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience on geotechnical issues.
